Lunatic by CharsiBevda Lunatic by CharsiBevda
Just installed Luna.

It's pretty bare metal IMO, got dozens of bugs all around - it's a beta anyway. Biggest frustrations at first glance are : Noize doesn't show me any album art, doesn't save changes between close and relaunches, Midori is bugged as f*ck etc etc.

But, it looks awesome :D

Can i ask what is the font, and how to install font on eOS Luna, I'm trying it out at the moment, and admit it's a bit hard to customize! :))

It's the Neutraface 2 font :)

Yeah, it's that way because the Luna devs seem hell bent on closing off the system completely. The Gnome 3 Shell based DE doesn't help either and neither does the GTK3 based theming engine :(

Yup, everything is "closed" and I can't use any tools available to customize this distro, hope there will be one

How can I change the font of the system like you? :))

I did it via the standard menus.. can't remember exactly, but look around and you'll find it. I'd have loved to help, but sadly I've formatted the partition I had it on recently.

I'll give it a spin again after Beta 2 is out maybe :)

What do you mean by "standard menus", 'cause i've been looking 4 it but in vain :((

I mean the normal options, I think the option to change fonts is somewhere in System Settings. If it isn't there, try googling for it. If I remember correctly, you also have to use gconf-editor and change a couple default values for the Titlebar Font and Systemwide font.

I wish I could help you in an easier way, but I don't have ElementaryOS installed anymore :(

Bare metal?

Bare Metal = Barebones, lacking options that typically are inclusive, like right clicking on the desktop as an example.

Barebones makes more sense.
See, I was confused because in computing jargon bare metal makes reference to real hardware. i.e. "he tested the OS in bare metal" (as opposed to a virtualized environment)

You're right, barebones is the more appropriate term :)

I'm so habituated to using 'bare metal' because I assist with VMWare ESXi and Hyper V, the term kinda clings to my tongue.

But at least you still have mac-ish on your old ubuntu system bro. Just try it for a few days, and let us get back to the mac-ish shot. With the nautilus elementary.... :)

Not many bugs here ;) just some problems with Noise. Even though it's a beta, it works like a final product for me.

Ya I like the look but when running the alpha of eOS man I ran into some frustrating bugs. I could not run it for too long. Had issue were file manager would not open, I had to install nautilus to view and browse my files at one point. ;-)

I'm having something similar. Pantheon crashes all too often among others and I see the darn apport much more than I'd like :D

I'll keep this around for a few days ;)
