Custom or Unofficial builds of Firefox for Linux
Sooo there won't be any new software updates for Pinguy 11.04 because it's based on Ubuntu 11.04, which is EOL as of now.
I have no reason to move to a newer Linux build as my main OS because I'm a huge customization freak, and what I have now works perfectly fine. I'm not too concerned about 'security updates' mainly because I have iptables set up, plus i'm behind a hardened down router ;) I just need to receive updates to Firefox beyond the current 16.02, and to get that I'm willing to move to unofficial/custom builds, you know, something like Waterfox/Palemoon unofficial builds that're available for Windows.

What kernel on Natty 11.04?
Sooo I'm still running the 2.6.38-9 on my 11.04 install and I've been thinking of going higher, to Kernel 3.5.
Have any of you guys tried out the latest kernel on older Linux installs? How is it... any issues you'd like to report? :)

My Cellphone was stolen!
The past Thursday evening turned out to be one of the worst evenings of my life... my beloved cellphone, a sexy Sony Ericsson W830i was stolen in the train.. ( http://img.gsmarena.com/w/pics/sonyericsson/sonyericsson-w830-00.jpg and http://img.gsmarena.com/w/pics/sonyericsson/sonyericsson-w830-01.jpg ) stolen right off my trouser pocket.. and I didnt even realize that until a few minutes later, but it was too late by then. It had cost me 18,500 INR when I had bought it back on 1st February 2007... :dead:
I miss it like hell because just like anyone else, it had become a part of me.. and not just a cellphone.. mainly because I used to listen
